Ateliers sur l’Alzheimer à Embrun : 7 février et 6 mars

“First Link” Program connects individuals (and their families) newly diagnosed with Alzheimer Disease or Related Dementias with early access to: education about these diseases; community services and caregiver supports.

Alzheimer Society of Cornwall & District will offer 2 workshops in French at the Centre de santé communautaire de l’Estrie in Embrun.

Workshop 1 – What is Dementia?
Tuesday February 7th, 2012 (5 :30 to 7 :30 p.m.)

• 10 Warning Signs
• Brain Function and Behavior
• Progression of the Disease

Workshop 2 – Adapting to Change and Building a Circle of Support
Tuesday March 6th, 2012 (5 :30 to 7 :30 p.m.)

• Common Reactions and Emotions
• Identifying Stress
• Coping Strategies
• Community Resources and Caregiver Supports
