COVID-19 antiviral treatment

The Centre de santé communautaire de l’Estrie (CSCE) in Limoges is a Clinical COVID-19 Assessment Centre for people with no family doctor or nurse practitioner who may be candidates for the antiviral COVID-19 treatment.

Who is eligible

Most people can simply self-isolate when they have symptoms of COVID-19.

CSCE clinical assessment services are limited to people with no family doctor or nurse practitioner, on certain hours and on appointment only. You should bring a list of your medication and any important medical conditions.

We are prioritizing patients for treatment who have COVID-19 with the highest risk of severe outcomes, including:

  • immunocompromised individuals aged 18 and over regardless of vaccine status
  • unvaccinated individuals aged 60 and over
  • unvaccinated First Nation, Inuit and Métis individuals aged 50 and over
  • unvaccinated individuals aged 50 and over with one or more risk factors (ex.: high blood pressure, chronic respiratory diseases, liver or kidney chronic conditions, etc.)

You must also have a positive COVID-19 test to receive treatment. Antiviral treatment must begin within five days of symptom onset to be effective.

Call us at 613 557-2210 (Limoges) to make an appointment.

Given the limited supply of antivirals, not all patients who meet the clinical eligibility criteria will be guaranteed access to treatment. Please note that we do not have antivirals onsite.

  • feeling confused or unsure of where you are
  • losing consciousness
