Youth Wellness Hub

Champlain East Region

This program helps young people aged 12 to 25 easily access health, wellness, and social support services. It aims to help them feel good in their bodies and minds and cope with life’s challenges.

All services are free and address a variety of needs, such as:

  • Talking to a therapist or counselor about mental health or addiction issues;
  • Receiving basic medical care and sexual health services;
  • Getting peer support;
  • Finding a job or help looking for one;
  • Receiving support if you are living in poverty or are hungry.

The Youth Wellness Hub has several service centres in the region:

Building Healthy Connections

This therapy group is for youth aged 12 to 17 who want to develop healthy relationships and improve their well-being.

Participants will explore topics such as communication, boundaries, self-esteem, conflict resolution, and recognizing healthy and unhealthy behaviours in relationships. The goal is to provide a safe space to share, learn, and develop new skills.

2SLGBTQIA+  Group

This group is for youth who identify as part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community (asexual, bisexual, gay, gender-fluid, intersex, lesbian, queer, pansexual, questioning, transgender, Two-Spirit, etc.).

You will have the opportunity to meet others who are on a similar journey, share experiences, and connect in a safe and inclusive environment. The goal is to create a welcoming space where you can explore your identity, build connections, and feel supported.

Healing Paws: Dog Therapy Program

This activity offers youth the opportunity to relax, have fun, and interact with trained therapy dogs.

Participants can cuddle, play, and spend time with dogs while boosting their mood, reducing stress, and connecting with others. The goal is to provide a welcoming, judgment-free space that supports well-being.

Neurodivergent Group

This group is for youth who are part of the neurodivergent community (ADHD, autism, Tourette syndrome, etc.).

You will have the opportunity to participate in fun activities, connect with others, and spend time in a safe and welcoming environment. The goal is to provide a space where you can be yourself, build connections, and enjoy shared experiences without pressure.

Homwork Club

This group offers a supportive space for youth to complete their homework and stay on track with schoolwork.

You will be able to get help with assignments, study in a calm environment, and stay motivated alongside peers. The goal is to encourage focus, build confidence, and support academic success.
